Alligators live in two places in the world, China and North America. A crocodilian ancestor of the alligator is the caiman. A few people believe that this animal is a smaller type of an alligator. An alligator has teeth that turn inward to stop prey from escaping. The alligator from North America lives in Florida. In China the China alligator is smaller than the one from America. Alligators need our help to live and not have their skins used for purses and stuff that we don't really need it for. ( People kill alligators for their skin. )
