Termites: The Great Builders

Termites are great builders and can be destructive. The American termite lives under ground. The African termite, however, builds a nest that can be higher than a person is tall! There are many different types of termites. The workers are most common termites in the mound. They get food and build the mound. The soldiers are the ones that protect the nest from predators. They will sacrifice them self to save the nest. The king termite is the 2nd biggest termite in the mound. The queen termite is the 1st biggest termite. She lays the eggs to make more termites. As like the soldier termites we must protect the other termites. If we protect the colony they will survive.
